Frequently Asked Questions

1- It seems that the construction cost higher than normal wind farms, is that true?
No, because there is no individual foundations, nor towers needs, and because that the structure can house 5-10 generations of WT that makes construction costs, lower than current wind farms,
2- is the output cheaper of more expensive than current wind farms?
Cheaper by 3-20 times that because of higher operational wind speeds and wider operational ranges which makes the output an order of magnitude large than current wind farms for same site wind speed.
3- How does it overcome the noise?
The WT are much smaller than utility WT, and are installed on much higher heights and typically those stations are installed away from populated areas.
4- Are this tech dangerous to birds?
No, because the whole structure is very visible and bird would highly likely to differ from crashing, and the number of those structures is ~ 1000 times less than WT in the wind farms, then giving the large visibility and smaller tip speeds of the smaller WT, the expected probability of number of hurt birds ~ 1/1,0000 of those hurt in the current wind farms.
5-Is hydro better than this technology?
I can say no, because hydro dams submerges very large areas of fertile lands and natural habitats which this tech would occupies rock areas.
