A power pedal offers power assisted action to the player's performance on the bass drum of a drum set. It offers effortless feel of action to the player. Allowing the player to create new sounds on the bass drum never before possible. Effortless control of sound effects on the bass drum. It eliminates weighty resistive feel of action of present day manual pedals. It requires low level of player effort providing high levels of player action. It maintains consistent action for all speeds of play and foot power. Provides fast, clean, precise and natural action, especially useful for the player to create new sounds on the bass drum. It can be sold at a third of the price of the best pedals on the market today and will out perform any one of them.
Primary Application of the Technology
Musicians - Drummers
The Problem Solved by the Technology
Stiff weighty action of manual drum pedals making them hard to use for fast clean action of a drum pedal.
How the Technology Solves the Problem
A power assisted action can only be provided by a motor. The motor is linked to the pedal through a newly patented lever action wheel. This is the only practical way to provide power assisted action to a drum pedal. It solves the problem weighty, stiff feel of action of a manual drum pedal.
It provides power assisted action to the player. It is a power pedal and works like power assisted brakes on a car. It assists the action of the operator to make it easier and more efficient to operate the pedal.
Comments on Deal Structure, Potential Terms and Restrictions
I am seeking someone to license the patent from me to be built for commercial industry. The commercial cost for me is far to high to do alone, I need to license the patent to earn back my cost to date which are considerable. I wish to get a percentage of sales from the builder and name credit for the pedal. I am a musician and engineer. I also would want to act as a sales rep. and consultant for the construction of the first commercial piece. I have extensive experience developing many prototypes and can provide the builder with expert advice to optimize construction of the commercial piece.
The seller would like to be granted a license back.
The seller may consider selling these patents individually.
Frequently Asked Questions
I played the prototype, how come it feels like it does nothing at all ?
It is suppose to feel like does does nothing at all ! That is its whole purpose. After you play it for a good 20 minutes then switch back to a manual pedal, this is when it comes home. That is, you really feel how stiff and slow the manual pedal is when you compare in this manner. You can't tell if power pedal is on, unless you turn it off !!!
