How the Technology Solves the Problem

Our transmission enables a small, low cost, battery efficient motor to operate across a 12,000 to 1 speed range to provide accurate flow from 0.1ml/hr to 1,200 ml/hr. This motor is controlled by a simple battery efficient control circuit. The devices on the market currently use stepper motors that are more expensive, power hungry as well as larger.

The valve patent enables a single, small, low cost, battery efficient motor to operate multiple valves in any sequence. Current devices use multiple actuators for each valve. Additionally this valve system allows a single delivery line from the pump to the patent. This reduces tube set preparation time, tube set complexity at the patent arm site, and reduces operator error which is a major source of device error currently.
