Primary Application of the Technology

Food packaging
Quick service restaurants
Packaging distributors
Paperboard converters

The Problem Solved by the Technology

Gourmet burgers are delicious, but due to their size and mountains of ingredients are difficult to eat. They typically loose their contents while being eaten. This often makes for a messy experience, with the burger not tasting as good as it would if all of its ingredients where well contained. The holder provides a very cost effective method of containing a gourmet burger's contents.

How the Technology Solves the Problem

The holder for the hamburger is a simple, die-cut paperboard product. It has been designed for high speed production and minimal freight costs. The store staff or customers simply assemble it by folding side tabs together to form a cup with the base panel. It is then fitted to the burger. Nothing can be simpler. It can be made out of 100% recycled paperboard. There is a range of sizes to match different burgers as well as a pita holder variant for pita pockets.

Competitive Advantage

There is no other known commercially active competition that provides an effective solution to contain hamburger filings using a paperboard package. There are wax paper alternative products that are not as effective for gourmet burger and sandwiches.

The seller may consider selling these patents individually.

Additional Information

The holder is manufactured to order. There are about 2000 samples of various sizes for distribution to interested companies. Samples available for evaluation purposes.
