The packets are formed of a special sealed upper portion that, when teared away, opens a narrow-elongated pathway that, thanks to a special patented design and configuration, permits the edible product to be released in a safe, clean manner, in such a way not found in the present packets. This solves the problem of dripping and staining observed in the present edible pasty products such as mayo, ketchup, dressings, and so on.

The design is cheap to manufacture with excellent results - achieved by simply adding a cheap welding operation of a wider portion of the upper edge of the packets.
It permits the dosing of fluid and doughty edible products (mayo, ketchup, olive oil, dressings, etc.) without spotting and staining. An important competitive advantage, the new design is so simple that this can be achieved in a very cheap manufacturing method.
