These inventions relate to micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) display devices, (Digital Micromirror Devices (DMD)) including the use of springs to increase the switching speed of micromirrors and incorporating dielectrophoretic liquids to minimize power requirements and increase deflection angles. These inventions also describe techniques of lowering manufacturing cost by using dielectrics and optmization of Fabry-Perot devices are also included.
