Overview

The layer interval of the photoresponsive polymer alters reversibly depending on the conditions of light radiation. As a result, the photoresponsive polymer can be used as a photofunctional material applicable as an optical memory material, a recording material, and an electric/electronic material. Plus the built-up type diacetylene polymer of this technology can be used as a new functional polymer applicable in an organic electroluminescence (organic EL), an organic photoluminescence (organic PL), a non-linear optical material, an organic semiconductor, a nano-device, and more.
