Looking for technological development and machine reesearch of the low wind velocity generators used in China.

Problem to be Solved by the Technology

(1)Establishing precise mathematical and physical models of Maglev vertical turbine wind generators.

(2)Prototyping and manufacturing technology of new blades made by Phyllostachys materials.

(3)Optimization of the the whole structure of vertical turbine wind generators.

Expected Targets and Technical Milestones:  

(1) Studying the overall design skills of wind power generators suitable to the wind resources of low wind velocity areas in China; forming systematic design methods and index systems of low wind velocity generator parts; production of megawatt low wind velocity generators; realizing operational check of generation.

(2) Development of megawatt low wind velocity generators; reaching the goal of operational check time no less than 2000 hours, rated wind velocity less than 10.5 m/s, utilization coefficient of wind power Cp more than 0.47.
