Creating Your Account
There is no requirement to log in before you search and browse listings on the Tynax exchange. However, in order to post listings and take advantage of some of the more useful and advanced features, you need to create a free account. This is done by selecting the "Create Free Account" link in the login menu on the left of the screen.
Creating your account involves accepting the terms and conditions: 
You need to enter your email address, username, password, etc.  Note: the email address is where inquiries from your listings will be directed.  You can edit and amend your email address, password and other information at any time.
Logging In

When you log in to your Tynax account, you will be directed to your account console.  So, please make a note of your username and password.

If you lose your password, you can request that it is emailed to the email address associated with your account.

After logging in, the Login Box changes to indicate the number of listings you have in your account.  The "Log In" button changes to "Log Out" and we recommend for security reasons that you log out after you have completed your session.
Your Account Console
After logging in, you will be directed to Your Account Console.  This is where you create and manage your listings and subscribe to other Tynax services.  As you can see, the tabs indicate the various capabilities and services available from your console. 
Creating Your Listings
From Your Account Console, you are able to create your own listings.  From the Technology Available tab, you can create listings of patents, portfolios available for sale.  From the Technology Wanted tab, you can post listings for technologies and patents you are interested in acquiring.
After deciding to create a Technology Available listing, you will be presented with a form.  On this form, you are required to create a name for your listing.  This name will be published on the Tynax website and circulated to our syndication partners. 
It is our policy to keep listings anonymous, and encourage viewers to make contact with you to request more information by clicking the "Tell Me More" button on your listing (see below).  So, please make sure that the name you select for your listing does not disclose your company, products or patent numbers.
As well as the name of the listing, the deal structure you are looking for is the next required field.  This is where you indicate the type of transaction arrangement you are seeking.
If your listing includes patents, you can enter the patent numbers into the table below. Note: the patent numbers will not be published with your listing.
After entering a patent number and clicking "Add Patent" below, the patent record will be retrieved from the public patent records online.  This gives you the ability to check that you have entered the patent number correctly.  Note: some patent records, such as new applications, are not publicly from the USPTO or other public websites. 
We provide you with hidden fields that enable you to track the pricing expectations and other information in relation to your listing.  This information is to assist you in centralizing the information you have related to a listing, tracking your sales activity and it is not published on our website or circulated to viewers.

After your listing is completed, you submit it by indicating your asset to the terms and selecting the "Finish" button. At this point, the listing is not yet active, but is in "Pending" status.


While the listing is Pending it is viewable only by yourself--after logging in with your username and password. You may find it useful to view the listing, edit it and continue to prepare the information while it remains in "Pending" state.
When you look at your account console, you will see your listings, the Status and a number of Actions available.
To post your listing live, select the "Pay Now" link from your account console.  You will then be presented with a number of payment options.   You can pay by credit card or check.

If you post a number of listings and have a relationship with Tynax, you may have been provided with a promotion code.  In this case, to post the listing live, you simply enter your promotion code into the box provided and click "Apply".
 
Editing/Amending Your Listings
Whether your listing is Pending or Live, you are able to edit and modify your listing at any time from Your Account Console. Simply log in and navigate to your account console.  Select Edit from the menu.
After selecting "Edit", you will be provided with an menu allowing you to edit the public information such as the listing details, and the hidden confidential information such as the patent and sales information. Please try to keep the information and status of your listing up to date.
Promoting Your Listings
Your listing can be made available to the public, or access can be restricted to a small number of qualified buyers. 
If the listing is public, it will be circulated and made available to viewers on the Tynax website, our partner websites, and syndicated to other sites and viewers through RSS feeds, email alerts and other channels.
You are able to invite viewers to see your listing by providing their email address and a message by clicking the "Invite" link in your Account Console.

 
Monitoring Listing Activity
After reading your listing, a viewer may wish to gather more information.  The "Tell Me More" feature is provided with each listing and this is how you generate inquiries and prospects
After clicking the "Tell Me More" button from your listing, the viewer is presented with a form.  This is where they request more information, and provide their contact details.  Upon submitting their request, the viewers inquiry is emailed directly to you, using the email address you provided when creating your account.
As well as receiving email inquiries, you are able to monitor the listing activity for each of your listings from Your Account Console.  Simply select "Activity" from the list of options for your listing.  This page displays all the inquiries you have received and shows the number of times your listing has been viewed.

 
Exporting Your Listings
You are able to save the contents of your Tynax listings on your own PC by selecting the "Export Listings" button from Your Account Console.  This creates an Excel export of the information contained in your listing.  You are able to save this to your PC and use it for your own sales tracking and other purposes.  You will be prompted to save the file on your PC.

 
Bookmarking Listings
When you see a listing of interest, you can bookmark it using by clicking on the .bookmark button on the listing page. This will add the bookmarked listing to your account. Note: you must be logged in for the bookmark system to identify you and add the listing to your account.

From your account console you will see a Bookmarks tab that contains all the bookmarked listings you are tracking .
By pulling down the Priority menu button you can set the priority level for each listing:

In the Action menu from the bookmark tab in your account console you will see a Notes button. By clicking here, you can add notes to a bookmarked listing.  The notes feature allows you to track and organize your thoughts and correspondence related to a bookmarked listing. You will see that you can also tag listings and manage them through a tagging system that you define yourself.



Inviting Viewers to Listings
In the action menu in the bookmark tab in your account console, you will see an Invite button.  By clicking here, you will be directed to a page where you can invite other people to view the listing.  You enter the person's name and email address and a short message, and an email will be sent to the viewer with a link to the listing itself.  This is a very useful feature when you want to share the listing with others.

Find out how to get the most out of our web site search. These tips will enhance the results of searches you perform:
  • Text search - type any string of text into the search box and it assumes you want to find documents that contain all these words. For example if you enter the text - Bluetooth wireless, the search will return all documents that contain the words Bluetooth AND wireless.  These words do not have to be together to be part of the search results.
  • Quotemarks - search for phrases/expressions, e.g. "information retrieval" will find only documents that contain the phrase. 
  • Wildcard * - used to search the root of a word, irrelevant of past, present or future tense; or of singular and plural use etc., e.g.  network* finds - network, networks & networking.

Search results are displayed in date order, with the latest information being at the top.
